Rob Cullen

Founder & Creative Director Boulder Media LTD

Bio: Robert Cullen Workshop Speaker FFF 2014 – Creative Director with Boulder Media –
Animation Group Robert Cullen is the founder and creative director of Boulder Media, an animation production company based in Dublin. Since 2000 Boulder has produced TV series for all the major international broadcasters including Cartoon Network, Nickelodeon, BBC and Disney. Their work on projects such as ‘The Amazing World of Gumball’ has won them two Baftas, an Emmy and an Annie award. In 2007 Robert was nominated for an Emmy for his work on ‘Foster’s Home for Imaginary Friends’. Boulder Media currently employs 75 people full time and are presently working on season two of ‘Randy Cunningham- 9th Grade Ninja’ for Disney Europe.

Mícheál Ó Meallaigh

Director of Commissioning TG4

Bio: Micheál Ó Meallaigh worked in the independent production sector and in training new Producers / directors before being appointed as one of two commissioning editors for the New Irish Language broadcasting service launched at Halloween 1996. His responsibilities have ranged over the years from children’s / comedy / entertainment / travel / documentary / animation and drama. Among the major commissions for which he was responsible are the Drama series, Rásaí na Gaillimhe, Corp & Anam, buy valium generic Crisis, and the documentary series Seachtar na Cásca, the feature films Kings and Cré na Cille. Currently Director of Commissioning he is concentrating on Documentary, Comedy, Drama and promoting international Co-productions.

Company Bio: TG4 was established as a broadcaster/ publisher by the Irish government in 1994 to provide an Irish language television service broadcasting throughout the nation. Broadcasting commenced at Halloween 1996 and from an initial limited base has grown to the position where it is currently broadcasting 19 hours per day to an average audience of 2.5% of the population. The Irish language core schedule, which is financed from a government grant of just under €32 million Euro per year, broadcasts 5 – 6 hours per day while the remainder of the schedule is made up of acquired programmes, mostly in English.

Ciaran Tanham

Bio: Ciaran has been working as A Director of Photography in the Television and Film Industry for twenty years, shooting on 35mm, 16mm, Hi Def, Digi Beta, DV and mobile phone. He has worked in many countries around the world shooting for RTE, BBC, ITV, Paramount USA, HBO, Hallmark, Granada TV. He has been nominated twice for an Irish Television and Film awards for his cinematography.
