Events on Friday 11th August

11:00 am KIDS Animation Workshop (7-12 year olds)

Guest speaker Darren Murray from Brown Bag Films. Having a life long interest in drawing he went on to Ballyfermot College for 3 years to study Animation.

Eventually getting into Brown Bag Films as a Production Assistant to Junior 2D Artist., to now 2D artist. Working on shows such as Sinky and Dirty, the Octonauts and Doc Mc stuffins.

All children must be accompanied by an adult.

11:00 am Adult Acting & Casting Workshop

Supported by Louise Keily Casting, guest speaker from LKC will be Eva Jane Gaffney as well as being an actress, Eva has been assisting LKC since January 2013.

Her latest casting cresits include Sing Street, Handsome Devil, Redwater and AMC’s Into the Badlands. Eva Jane is a fluent Irish speaker and works on all Irish language projects cast by LKC.

14:00 pm Kids Animated Screenings (7 – 12 years old)

Screenings are sponsored by Brown Bags Films. Suitable for kids above the age of 7 years old. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

14:00 – 17:00 Indie Screenings

Indie screening from 2pm until 5 pm. Films shown have been selected from around the world.

19:00 Exclusive Opening Night Irish Premiere “Knights of the Dammed”

From the producer of Game of Thrones and the special effects team from Harry Potter comes Knights of the Dammed. Making its Irish premiere the film is due to be released September 2017.

Synopsis :

“After relentless attacks on his castle, the King sends his best Knights to defeat the Dragon besieging them. Along their epic adventure they encounter malicious water sirens, a race of warrior women on a mission of revenge and an unstoppable army of the undead. Do they have what it takes to complete their mission and will they uncover the mysterious truth behind their journey?”

20:30  LIVE Support Band: The Skatuesques

Live music, The Skatuesques! Who are the only all female ska and reggae band in Europe and have gained great momentum and following due to their excellent performance and presence to the audience.

21:15  LIVE Made Of Stone (Stone Roses Tribute)

Playing the music of the iconic Manchester indie band that inspired a generation. Bring the music of The Stone Roses to your venue and enjoy an energetic 90 minute tribute to one of the world’s most loved bands.

22:30  Fuzzed Up DJs

Fuzzed up indie club and radio show. Bringing alternative DJs and music nights to the community. More information at fuzzedupswords

Events on Saturday 12th August

11:00 am Foley Sound Design Workshop

From Ardmore studios and Screen Scene, guest speakers and Foley specialists Jean Mc Grath & Caoimhe Doyle. Participants will recreate an entire soundtrack of original sound effects for a sequence of film using a variety of props ranging from celery to obscure percussive instruments.

Those reproduced sounds can be anything from footsteps, movement of clothing, squeaky doors and breaking bones. Caoimhe’s films include Knocked Up and Jeans’s include The Hobbit and together on Game of Thrones.

19:15 Giz a Laugh & Rory Stories Live Comedy support act

Our first act of the night will be Giz a Laugh and Rory Stories. These two hilarious people will be performing an hour of live comedy, so come along and enjoy the craic.

20:15 LIVE Paddy Casey

Paddy Casey will be performing live music at the festival. The singer-songwriter has supported bands like U2, been on CBS chat show Late Show with David Letterman.

20:15 LIVE The Hot Sprockets – Headliner

The Hot Sprockets, a band of 5 all from Dublin City. “Take some good-time revolutionary spirit, add a pinch of psychedelic flavour, simmer it down with some Indie Soul and you anre now somewhere close to the cosmic vibe of The How Sprockets”.

22:30 Indie Screenings

Events on Sunday 13th August

12:00 pm  Morning Gloryville

Morning Gloryville is great for groups of people or people with kids. A 3 hour rave will take place, as well as yoga and personal motivation from trained and costumed performers. There will be huge heaps of fun. “The Gloryville Effect” is our way of taking positive action when the world needs it the most.

15:00  Fingal Vibes

This year we are doing a lot of things different, one of the these things is what we like to call Fingal Vibes. For one hour, we are allowing artists who want to get on stage and perform for 15 minutes each. You can choose what you want to perform, music, comedy etc. For 15 minutes, the stage will be yours.

17:00 LIVE EllyD Music

EllyD is an Irish singer-songwriter from Dublin. Her music has taken her around Ireland and parts of Europe. “Rise” reached no. 8 in the itunes chars and has been played in various national and local radio stations.

In addition to playing various venues across Berlin, EllyD has played on some well known stages throughout Ireland including Whelans, The Workmans Club, The Tallaght Civic Theatre, The Naas Acoustic Festival, The Achill Battle of the Lakes Festival.
